Heating accounts for almost 30% of the energy consumed in homes. That’s why we recommend following a few tips that will enable you to reduce this consumption.
-
The temperature in your home should not exceed 20°C in the winter; each additional degree increases your energy consumption by 5 to 7%.
-
Insulate your home, install double windows or double-paned windows.
-
Put weather strip around the frames of doors and windows.
- Check the box of the blinds and cover up the cracks in the walls and ceilings so that the heat does not escape.
- Open the windows only for the amount of time necessary. Normally, ten minutes is enough time to change the air in a room.
- Close the rooms and shut off the heaters when they are not being used.
